The Digital LaySheet program has been designed to enhance the production and quality of laysheets produced by Flexible Packaging Printers. 

Digital LaySheet is a production tool designed to produce accurate and timely Laysheets complete with graphics, full job specification and unwind details.

It enables fast and accurate faxing of job specification, layout with graphic to the Customer; significantly improving Job Approval Cycle and reducing errors.

It allows for full size colour laysheet printing for customer approval, in-house proofing, and plate-mounting needs to be printed via ink-jet colour printers.

Working on a simple wizard principle, laysheets are designed and faxed to your customers in minutes……

The workflow emulates that which is currently employed by Flexible Packaging Printers;

    1    Collect all the job information into one job bag. (or job folder.)

    2    Design the laysheet with:

• customer information

• material specifications

• laysheet design and dimensions

• repeat information

• unwind and print data

• lips, gussets, turnovers, etc.

    3    Place the graphic into the laysheet:

• confirm the desired graphics and accept them for placement

• place the graphic on the laysheet, rotating for correct orientation

• modify the graphic position as necessary

    4    Insert additional dimension lines and measurements as desired

    5    Fax or email to customer for approval, print laysheet for in-house use:

• Fax or email approval: shows single job with all details.  Allowing additional information to be placed that may be specific to customers requirements

• LaySheet printing:  shows the detail of the print cylinder, width and repeats around the cylinder, with all job details ready to be printed onto a suitable inkjet colour printer.

    6    Save all job information and graphics for future retrieval and reuse
